Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Plant Depot.

These Terms & Conditions explain the rules that apply when you browse our website, purchase plants or other products, or use our online services.

Our website is operated by Plant Depot Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to the terms applicable to your purchase. Please read them carefully before ordering.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

 Orders, Pricing & Payments

Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

You will receive an automatic order confirmation acknowledging that we have received your order. This does not necessarily mean your order has been accepted.

A contract is formed when we send you confirmation that your order has been dispatched.

Product Prices

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). Any applicable VAT will be included in the advertised price, where required by law.

We aim to ensure that all prices and product information are accurate. If we discover a pricing error before accepting your order, we will contact you and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel.

Payments

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Payments are processed securely through our authorised payment providers. We do not normally have access to your full payment card details.

Product Availability

All orders are subject to availability. As we sell living plants, stock levels and availability may occasionally change.

If an item becomes unavailable, we will contact you to discuss a suitable alternative or arrange a refund for the unavailable item. We will not substitute products without your agreement.

 Delivery & Dispatch

Free UK Delivery

Plant Depot offers free delivery on all eligible UK orders, with no minimum spend.

Dispatch Schedule

We dispatch orders from our nursery in West Sussex every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Delivery Services

We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 for parcels measuring 60cm or less and Parcelforce's 48-hour tracked service for larger parcels.

Delivery normally takes approximately 2–3 working days after dispatch, although this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.

Delivery Delays

Occasionally, deliveries may be delayed due to weather conditions, courier disruptions or other circumstances outside our control.

If your order is delayed, please contact us and we'll help investigate.

Delivery Problems

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights regarding delivery, including your rights where goods are not delivered within an agreed timeframe.

 Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

Cancelling an Order

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Changing Your Mind

For most products purchased online, you have 14 days after receiving your order to notify us that you wish to cancel. You then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Certain products, including plants that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, may be exempt from these cancellation rights.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Plants

We take great care when preparing and packaging our plants. If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and, where possible, photographs of the issue.

We will investigate and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Refunds

Where a refund is due, it will be processed to your original payment method within the timescales required by law.

For further information, please see our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.

 Plant Quality & Natural Variations

Living Plants

At Plant Depot, we take pride in supplying healthy, quality plants. However, as plants are living products, their appearance can naturally vary throughout the year.

Plant Sizes & Appearance

Photographs on our website are intended to provide a representative example of each variety. The exact shape, foliage, flowering stage and appearance of the plant you receive may differ depending on the season and growing conditions.

We aim to describe plant sizes and specifications accurately. Any significant differences from the advertised product will be communicated where appropriate.

Seasonal Changes

Some plants naturally lose their leaves, become dormant or change appearance during autumn and winter. These normal seasonal characteristics do not necessarily indicate that a plant is unhealthy.

Plant Care

Once delivered, plants should be unpacked promptly and cared for according to their individual requirements, including suitable watering, positioning and protection from extreme weather.

Your Consumer Rights

Natural variations do not remove your right to receive plants that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for their intended purpose, as required by law.
